Japanese confectionary event by All Japan Association of Confectionary Manufacturers was held. (November 2, 2024)

Events for the 74th anniversary of the founding of TKU and Homecoming Day were held on Nov. 2 in Tamsui campus. TKUJP Alumni Association held a Japanese confectionary event as part of the Homecoming Day, organized by the Kinki Block, Youth Division of All Japan Association of Confectionary Manufacturers or Zenkaren. Many alumni attended the event, which included a confectionery making class, demonstrations and product sales. The event was very well received; several guests asked us where the kind of confectionaries were available in Taiwan.

The preparation for this event began at the suggestion of a Zenkaren member who is a student at Business Breakthrough University, TKU’s partner. Our master’s course has been conducting joint classes with the university for many years and the event was made possible thanks to his effort. He took the course and participated in the fieldwork in Taiwan last year.

President Monte Cassim of Akita International University, TKU’s partner, who was in TKU to deliver a commemorative lecture, also participated in the confectionery making class.      Photos
